- Concert Stage: free international music travels through the hostel many nights a week, in addition to nightly drum and fire dancing shows. There is also a chance for anyone who wants to perform to join in the hostel's open mic, with free percussion instruments for use, and a fully equipped sound system.
- Hammocks: when you need an escape from the heat, you can hang out in the shade and read a book or take a nap in the hammocks, with the soothing rolling of the oceanwaves as your background music.
- Boat Tours: The amiable marine biologist, Luis, organizes inexpensive tours at the hostel to snorkel with manta rays, dolphins, whales, turtles, and exotic fish all around the coast of the nearby beaches, with expert explanations of the sea life and their habitats.

outdoor kitchen and the hostel's cooking utensils.- Binoculars for whale watching: while eating breakfast at the hostel or relaxing at the tables during the day, you can often see whales surfacing close the hostel, and can use Carlos's collection of binoculars to get an up-close look at these wise guardians of the ocean.
