What is the Intergalactic Journey?

More than a Spanish language course, more than a travel tour through Mexico, the Intergalactic Journey is a portal into a new understanding and connection with ancient spiritual wisdom.  It's also a whole lot of fun.  After nine years running a hostel, hosting tens of thousands of travelers from around the globe, Carlos decided to do something for the travelers he meets every day from cultures around the world that would allow them access to the mysteries and magic of the indigenous culture of Mexico he has known in his seventy years as a traveler, a journalist, and a shaman.  

The Intergalactic Journey Includes:

• 74 hours of Spanish language instruction and language immersion activities.
• Yoga classes on the beach.
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided every day.
• Accomodations and transportation throughout Mexico.
  
• Boat tour in the ocean, to snorkel with dolphins, manta rays, turtles, and whales.
• Detoxifying baths in the natural jacuzzis of Punta Cometa.
• Explanations of ocean wildlife by marine biologist.  
• Observation of the arrival of hundreds of thousands of turtles along the beach of Escobilla.
• Mazatec curing ceremony in San Jose del Pacifico.
• Guided hike in the mountains.
• Huichol curing ceremony in a temascal (sweat lodge) in the desert of Real de Catorce.
• Knowledgeable explanations of ceremonies by indigenous anthropologist.
• Talks on natural medicines, and other natural healing practices.
• Meditation in specially constructed spiritual center near Punta Cometa.  
• Parties, music, bonfires on the beaches of Mazunte, Punta Cometa, Mermejita, San Augustinillo, and Zipolite.
• Volleyball, basketball, frisbee, and soccer in Mazunte.
